Gentian Trail Gallery is a "mom and pop" team effort. "Pop" (Mark) likes to take photos and make frames. "Mom" (Gretti) loves to paint. We do not keep formal hours or a rigid schedule so if you would like to stop by and see our stuff in person give us a call and we'll be sure to be here.

Photographs:

All photos featured here are our own. We do all our own digital processing, and print up to 13" x 19" sizes in-house. For larger prints, we order from a professional photo lab. We do our own matting and framing and make the frames from wood reclaimed or harvested here, or rough-cut lumber from a local lumber mill.

Painted Items:

Anything shown on our site that is painted or decoupaged was done by Gretti. She does water colors, acrylic on canvas, as well as decoupage glass items and hand painted Christmas ornaments.

Framing :

Many of our frames are made from barn wood salvaged from granddad's old work shop. The work shop was about to collapse so we dismantled it and reused as much as possible. Other frames are made from walnut, poplar, or cedar that came from dead trees here on on our property. We took the logs to a local sawmill to be cut into boards. The cypress, hickory and cherry used in some frames came from a local lumber mill and the oak is from boards found in the old work shop storage area.
